Say anything near the mic and watch the peak marker, then set
the threshold just below it. Raise it if the room gets noisy, lower it if
you have to shout.
The self-timer counts down out loud, so a subject across the room
knows when to hold still. The second slider is the floor on how close together two
shots can be: holding the key down or double-tapping it never produces a burst,
whatever fires the shutter.
